The Global Leadership Forum – March 26, 2019
Canada Infrastructure Bank CEO Pierre Lavallée today joined infrastructure industry leaders to showcase Alternative Funding and Financing in Infrastructure Development in Canada. He was part of a panel at the 12th Annual Global Infrastructure Leadership Leadership Forum in Montreal.
Other panelists included representatives from Aecon, the Windsor–Detroit Bridge Authority and Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec.
Kelly Gillis, Deputy Minister, Infrastructure Canada, moderated the panel.
“This session was an excellent opportunity to talk about our three priority areas – public transit, trade and transportation, and green infrastructure,” Lavallée said.
The Forum brings together infrastructure decision makers to present transformational infrastructure projects and their solutions for tackling infrastructure challenges including innovative funding models, new-technology and infrastructure’s role in a sustainable future.
The mission of the Canada Infrastructure Bank is to work with provincial, territorial, municipal, federal, Indigenous and private sector investor partners to transform the way infrastructure is planned, funded and delivered in Canada.
The CIB’s mandate is to invest $35 billion of capital alongside private capital in new revenue-generating infrastructure built in the public interest.
