We are supporting another sustainable wind energy project in Nova Scotia.

Our $206.4 million loan to Slate Asset Management and Hamilton Lane will support the development of a wind farm with electricity being sold directly to end customers in Nova Scotia.

The wind power project supports the Province of Nova Scotia’s emission reductions ambitions and reduce the financial strain on ratepayers as the province transitions to cleaner energy supply.

Benefits of the CIB’s involvement

The project falls within the CIB’s Clean Power sector, which supports developing more clean power generation.

CIB’s involvement is enabling a faster build out of the project at a lower cost to ratepayers, consistent with Nova Scotia’s commitment of achieving 80% of generation via renewable energy by 2030.
