The CIB’s partnership with Peace Hills Trust (PHT) will help accelerate land development projects for First Nations communities across Canada. Our $50 million loan to PHT will extend the CIB’s affordable capital to support new and existing clients.
With regional branches across the country, PHT is positioned to serve local communities and businesses where they already conduct their banking. By combining PHT’s local presence with the CIB’s affordable, long-term capital, this partnership will expand access to loans that supports First Nations’ community services and economic development priorities.

Indigenous communities’ limited access to affordable capital at flexible terms can constrain, impede or stop the achievement of community development projects.
