Prairie Economic Gateway involves a proposed large-scale inland port development

The City of Calgary and Rocky View County are working with the CIB to advance development of the Prairie Economic Gateway. The core feature of the Gateway will be a multi-use industrial park with direct rail access. This access will provide a westward link to Canada’s leading maritime terminal and an eastward link through the Canadian Prairies and into the rest of the continent. 

The City of Calgary and Rocky View County have already completed initial assessments to determine the financial and technical feasibility of the project. By collaborating with the CIB, the working group will complete additional due diligence of the technical and financial feasibility of the project.

As an advisor, our team of experts will conduct analysis, review the project’s estimated costs and revenues, explore financing options, assess environmental, social and economic benefits. 

The Calgary region is Canada’s fastest-growing metropolitan area and Prairie Economic Gateway highlights the importance of investing in essential infrastructure to meet the related demand.
