Transparency Statement
The CIB is committed to being open and transparent towards Canadians and strives to facilitate proactive and accessible disclosures as a way to enhance awareness and a better understating of the CIB’s purpose and activities, strengthen its accountability and cultivate public trust in fulfilling our mandate, and demonstrate good governance in respect of the CIB’s operations, investments and decision-making processes.
The Transparency Framework and Policy sets out the core principles that guide the CIB’s proactive public disclosure of information, as well as the scope and type of information and data that we routinely disclose.
The description of the information the CIB routinely discloses exceeds statutory reporting requirements and is intended to demonstrate our commitment to transparency.
The CIB is also subject to the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act.
We disclose information about:
- Governance - The CIB's governance structure and decision-making processes.
- Projects and Investments - Infrastructure investments that comply with our mandate and fiscal limits as well as deliver positive environmental, social, and public impacts.
- Operations - How we do business and manage our finances and assets to demonstrate that we administer public resources prudently, effectively and sustainably.
